Martin Ball: Level 2 Triathlon Coach. ” I love swimming, 70.3 or Iron Distance is my favourite, ,and the best course I’ve raced on would have to be Walchsee Austria for the incredible scenery and beautiful lake swim”.
Mags Hutchings: Level 2 Triathlon Coach. “Olympic favourite distance. Must you ask ?? it has to be swimming; and course….the Edge tri in Brigg I think. But I also like Sprint in Southwell.”
Gemma Taylor: Leadership in Running Fitness. “I have only competed in sprint distance but would love to have ago at Olympic distance. My favourite event is the Triathlon Relays because you get to work as part of a team and the atmosphere is amazing.”
Lisa Adams: Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Triathlons. Ex Louth Dolphin swimmer. Swam competitively at National Standard in backstroke.
Rowena Burgess: Leadership in Running Fitness. Competed in her first triathlon (Super Sprint) last year and came third.
Andy Tomlin: Leadership in Running Fitness. The creator of The Bow Legged Runner YouTube channel.
Paul Fowler – ASA, STA, BTF level 2 Coach.
Paul has a background in coaching spanning 25 years, in addition to founding 100% Swimming and 100% Tri. Paul has been working throughout Lincolnshire to help tri clubs since 2010.
Paul has worked with Louth Tri Club since 2017 to deliver swim coaching and from May 2021 he took on the lead role for our aquatic programme setting out swim direction for all three club swim sessions.
On a personal side Paul has an outstanding competitive athletic background which includes being a former National League swimmer, representing British Universities for Modern Biathlon and Great Britain for Surf Lifesaving. In regards to Team Age Group Triathlon he has competed in every distance from Sprint through to Double Ironman.
Colin Thompson: Level 1 Triathlon Coach. Colin has a competitive canoe slalom background, representing Great Britain in Canadian Doubles from 1986 to 1992. As a Slalom Competition Coach, he coached local canoeists and the Welsh squad, until moving to Lincolnshire. “Over the years I have done several multi discipline, off road events. In 2019, I decided to try classic triathlons and was hooked. My favourite events are “The Heb – Race on the Edge” and standard distance Quadrathlons. Although both involve canoeing, I particularly enjoy the bike legs.”
